Building Enhancements for a Greener Future

As part of our ongoing refurbishment programme, we’ve made significant upgrades to our centre to improve energy efficiency and reduce our environmental impact:

• Improved Wall and Roof Insulation: Helping us retain heat in winter and stay cool in summer, reducing energy usage.
• New PVC Doors and Windows: Designed to be more thermally efficient and secure.
• Upgraded Heating Systems: Our mechanical heating has been modernised for better efficiency and lower emissions.
• LED Lighting Throughout: Energy-saving lighting that lasts longer and consumes less power.

These changes not only reduce our carbon footprint but also create a more comfortable and welcoming environment for the people we support.

Everyday Environmental Practices

Sustainability is woven into our daily routines. We’re committed to making small changes that add up to a big difference:

• Reduced Printing: We’ve moved toward digital communication wherever possible to cut down on paper waste.
• Recycling Stations: Clearly marked bins throughout the centre encourage recycling and reduce landfill waste.
• Awareness Displays: Educational posters and interactive boards help raise awareness among staff, volunteers, and visitors.
• Organic Gardening: We grow our own fruits and vegetables in our garden—completely free from pesticides and chemicals.
